Koryaks are the most numerous and unique natives of Kamchatka. Their tales are full of wisdom, their dances imbued with mysterious symbols. Every hand motion means something. They guard their traditions from a long time ago and many particularities of their way of life can give you an impression of how their ancestors used to live. If you take into account that the oldest Koryak’s burial site is 15000 years old, the genetic wisdom of this people is hard to overestimate. Living in tune with the wild is their second nature.
We invite you to meet the natives of Kamchatka and visit their settlement Kainyran (in Koryak language it means «bear’s home»). Hospitable and friendly hosts shall serve you their own food and drinks and acquaint you with their culture. They’ll also take you for a dog sled ride. It is their native way of transportation and it was very useful to them since ancient times. Bathing in radon baths shall be a nice conclusion to the day filled with new interesting experinces.
