Tolbachik volcano

Tolbachik volcano, the aftermath of eruption of 1975 and 2013

4 days/3 nights

Once upon a time there lived two brothers Ostry Tolbachik and Flat Tolbachik. The big brother was tall and hadsome, well-tempered and serene. The younger brother was short and plain, bad-tempered and explosive. The big brother, in the nature of things, teased his younger brother and by doing that he stirred the pot. The younger brother spat fire in return and covered everything within his reach with ashes. And noone knows how long it lasts, or maybe it wasn’t always that way. But the fact that the volcanoes are connected with each other despite of  the  distance between them is a scientifically proved fact. Whether you acknowledge the family bonds between the volcanoes or not is irrelevant because the scientists have known for quite a while that if one volcano becomes active, another volcano miles and miles away shall provide with the much needed support.

This was just an introduction to the story, the real fairy tale comes next. Enroute, to be exact. You’ll experience a fascinating introduction to the volcano-brothers. Flat Tolbachik is particularly interesting for the tourists. It is considered to be the gate to the fiery catacombs. After visiting this place you may imagine just how hot the heart of our planet is.
